Active Story Time

March 5th, 10:00 am and 10:30 am at Effingham Public Library in the Children’s Programming Room. Think we’re usually a pretty fun place?  Join us for an active story time with Kay Metzelaars. Art and a Story for ages 5 to 9

FCA Night of Champions

March 16th, 8:00 pm at the Effingham Performance Center. Mark your calendars for our 5th Annual Night of Champions featuring Isaac Bruce. Tickets will soon be available for purchase and kids (18 and under) are free. Sponsorships are available and include premium seating, thank you gift, and tickets to the VIP reception with Isaac. Woodpeckers and Walnuts

March 21st, 10:00 am at the Ballard Nature Center. Come learn about the woodpeckers and their amazing adaptations. Many woodpeckers like tree nuts, as well as many people. A nut tasting will be part of the fun. We will have a variety of nuts from different trees and different flavors, too. Free-will donations of $2 per person suggested. Pre-registration required. The Greatest Showman Sing-a-long

March 21st, 3:00 pm at the Effingham Performance Center. Tickets- $35-$15. 20th Century Fox has released a sing-a-long edition of its Hugh Jackman musical *The Greatest Showman*. The sing-a-long version will display the song lyrics on screen, allowing viewers to perform with the movie score. The tracks are penned by Academy Award-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The movie soundtrack held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart and has also reached No.1 on iTunes in over 60 countries. For tickets, visit the-epc.org.

Sensory Play

Medieval Craft Festival

March 27th, 3:30 to 5:30 pm at the Effingham Public Library in the EPL Workman Room. Come join us for a crafting program straight out of the 1300s! We’ll create homemade quills, faux stained glass windows, dragon eggs, and more! We’ll also be showing A Knights Tale (PG13). This is a TAB (Teen Advisory Board) sponsored event. Harlem Wizards vs Heart City All Stars

March 28th, 7:00 pm at the Effingham High School. Enjoy a fun night of basketball tricks & entertainment by the reown Harlem Wizards. This incredible basketball team will go up against Effingham locals, including teachers & staff of all unit 40 schools, delighting crowds with their hilarious antics. Advance tickets are $10.00 each or $12.00 at the door. Doors open at 6:00 pm at EHS gym. Perfect evening for the whole family! Presented by the Effingham Unit 40 foundation, all proceeds from the rousing “tricks, hoops & alley oops” will benefit the foundation’s mission. Easter Eggstravaganza

April 11th, 9:00 am at the Thelma Keller Convention Center. Come out to the Thelma Keller Convention Center for a morning filled with Easter Egg hunts, free photos by the Tourism office and lots of fun! Kids age 1 will begin hunting at 9:30 am, Age 2: 10 am, Age 3: 10:30 am, Age 4: 11 am, Ages 5 & 6: 11:15 am, Ages 7 & 8: 11:30 am, and Ages 9 & 10: 11:45 am. Visit www.visiteffinghamil.com.
