Girls Minor League

May 6th at Evergreen Hollow Park Fast Pitch Diamonds for girls in grades 2nd – 3rd.   This is the first league where girls pitch themselves. Pitching distance is 35′ and 11″ softballs are used. Coaches pick teams using a draft system. Please list current grade on registration form. Registrations accepted through March 1st. We will accept registrations after March 1st if there is room in the league. Fee: $35 for people in the district and $65 outside of the district. A $10.00 late fee will be assessed after that date. May 7th at Community Park Dave McDevitt Field for boys grades 5th – 6th. Official Little League baseballs are used and pitching and base distances are 54′ and 70′ respectively. Scott Wattles & Blue Suede Crew  

May 11th at 7:00 p.m. at The Effingham Performance Center. Join Scott Wattles and the Blue Suede Crew for a Mother’s Day Celebration as they perform all of Mamma’s favorites; the Rock ‘n’ Roll classics of Elvis, as well as the Gospel Favorites too!

Scott Wattles has gained a great deal of notoriety as being one of the top Elvis Tribute Artists in the United States and Canada. From the stages of Branson, Missouri to the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada, Scott has entertained thousands with his powerful voice and high energy shows. Pony League

May 15th at Gene Niccum Field in Community Park for boys in second grade. The season begins as a coach-pitch league, but once every team has played a few games, the teams have the option of having players pitch to prepare them for the more advanced leagues. Level 5 baseballs are used and the pitching and base distances are 46′ and 60′ respectively. Coaches and park district athletic director work together to form teams. Please list current grade on registration form. Registrations accepted through March 1st. Fee: $35 if you reside in the district and $65 out of district. Adventure Camp Week 01 – Wild West     

May 28th-31st from 7:30am-5:30pm at Evergreen Hollow Park for ages 6-12. Get acquainted with Adventure Camp 2019 as we start a super fun summer! During Wild West Week you will learn about your fellow campers and camp staff with team building activities and games! We’re hosting a western-style “Hoe Down” on Friday to celebrate our first week! Campers will need to bring their lunch every day, but Friday we will have a cookout for lunch as a part of our party. Campers will need to bring their swimming suit and towel to camp every day. T-Ball League               

June 1st for 4 & 5 year old boys and girls (must be 4 by June 1st) at Evergreen Hollow Park or Community Park. T-Ball develops the primary baseball skills of hitting, fielding and throwing. Summer Youth Theatre Camp         

Join at the Effingham Performance Center for Jr. Camp, Ages 6 to 9, June 3 to June 7 or Regular Camp, ages 10 to 18, June 17 to June 27 or July 8 to July 18 for one or both sessions and make your summer happen on the stage!

This program provides an opportunity for youth, from ages 6-18, to learn and grow in the world of theatre. During each session of the program students are taught various skills in an age-based small group setting. Teachers will work with students based on a curriculum which includes classes such as:

June 4th-6th & 11th-13th from 9-11:30am at Harmony Playground – Evergreen for ages 3-5 years. Come learn, play and move with the Effingham Park District Summer Staff. Our theme this week is dinosaurs. Kids love dinosaurs and we will focus on the fun lovable part of dinosaurs.

Teutopolis KC Cruise Night

June 14th from 5:30-8pm at the Teutopolis Banquet Hall Grounds. Cruise goes from 5:30-8pm and all vehicles welcome. There will be a live DJ and music and car show ends at Midnight. Pork burgers, hamburgers, pulled pork sundaes, brats, hot dogs and refreshments available for purchase. No coolers allowed. Proceeds will benefit rebuilding the banquet hall.
