Winter Market

All winter long from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the Farm Bureau Building-1102 W. Evergreen, Effingham. The Effingham Farmers Market will be moving inside for the winter months! Be sure to stop by to get your Farmers Market fill!!

St. Anthony High School presents the musical Matilda

November 1st from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM  at the St. Anthony High School. St. Anthony High School and SAMBA ask you to join us for the fun-filled tale of Matilda The Musical. Directed by Mrs. Monique Hortenstine; musical direction by Mrs. Angie Tkachuk and choreography by Ms. Ilenia Hails, assisted by Ms. Megan Koenig. Performed in the St. Anthony High School Multi-Purpose Room on Friday, November 1st at 7:00pm; Saturday, November 2nd at 7:00pm; and Sunday, November 3rd at 2:00pm. Tickets for Matilda The Musical go on sale to the general public in the SAHS office on Monday, October 21st, 2019 for $8 each.

Day of the Dead Crafts

Encore Story Time

Holiday Open House

November 1st 5-8pm and November 2nd 10-3pm. Enjoy a day of holiday shopping in Downtown Effingham. Grab a passport and visit our 10 participating businesses for drawing. The drawing will be held Monday the 4th.

Story Time

November 5, 10 a.m. for ages 0-5 with an adult at the EPL Children’s Programming Room. Join us for stories, songs and lots of fun! We will also do a fun craft. No Registration Required.

One Day Cat Café

November 8, 3 to 5 p.m. for all ages at the EPL Workman Room. Looking to relax before the holidays? Join us for a One Day Cat Cafe. We’ll provide tea, coffee, snacks, comfortable seating, and, most importantly, cats! Bring a book (or check one out) and settle in. No Registration Required.

K9 Breakfast at The Elks Lodge

November 9, 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM located at Effingham Elks- 2102 S. Banker Street, Effingham. Join the Shriners and Effingham Elks Lodge is hosting a FREE breakfast at the Effingham Elks Lodge and any donations given will be going back to support our local K9 Unit.

Family Game Day

November 9, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Open to all ages and located in the Effingham Public Library Workman Room. Yes we’re hosting another Family Game Day with Colby Higgs! We’ll have games like Codenames, King of Tokyo, Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Forbidden Island, and many other games, as well as chess. We’ll supply games. But feel free to bring your own if you want to. Book Sale

November 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 1 Day Book Sale at the Effingham Public Library’s Basement. Children’s books are sold in their own special area that allows easier access for those with strollers. No items will be sold prior to the book sale date. Book donations are accepted at the library check out desk during regular library hours. Proceeds from the sale will go toward special projects at the library. If you have questions about the book sale, please call the library at 342-2464 x1.

A Christmas Story Presented by Three Chicks & a Stage

Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas.
